Founding Product Manager (Agentic Systems)
Shape the behavior of autonomous agentic systems and define the UX for the agentic economy
About Pavo
Pavo is building Enterprise Superintelligence: compounding systems that take ownership of business outcomes and work with humans to deliver them.
We believe that while foundation models are necessary, they are not sufficient. The hard problem is systems intelligence: end-to-end architectures that understand a company's code, data, and decisions, and improve themselves through experience.
We are assembling a small, senior team of researchers and engineers obsessed with systems-first intelligence. Our current team consists of PhDs and ML engineers from top applied ML and coding agent companies, with a heritage of shipping systems at Spotify, ShareChat, and Sourcegraph scale.
Our team has built impressive momentum with a small group of highly capable engineers and researchers.
The Opportunity
As the Founding Product Manager, you will shape the behavior of autonomous agentic systems and influence our agentic strategy based on deep customer insights, bridging the gap between state-of-the-art research and real-world enterprise value.
We are looking for a technical product leader—likely an ex-ML Engineer or Data Scientist—who operates at the intersection of Product, Applied Science, and GTM strategy.
Our product thinking is rooted on metric design being product design. You will design the "objective functions" that drive our agents, determining how they make decisions, how they are evaluated, and how they interact with humans to solve high-value business problems.
What You'll Do
- →Define Agentic Capabilities: Work closely with researchers to translate capabilities (e.g., "long-horizon planning") into concrete product features that solve specific enterprise pain points (e.g., "autonomous root cause analysis").
- →Metric Design & Experimentation: Bring scientific rigor to product management. You will design the evaluation frameworks and success metrics that tell us if an agent is actually working. You will act as the "architect of the reward function," ensuring our agents optimize for the right business outcomes.
- →Influence the GTM Strategy: Partner with leadership to identify our ideal customer profile (ICP), define pricing strategies, and craft the narrative that explains why an enterprise should trust an autonomous agent with their data.
- →Orchestrate "Human-in-the-Loop" Design: Define how and when the system hands off control to humans. You will design the interaction paradigms that build trust and allow users to steer agents without micromanaging them.
- →Drive the Roadmap: Prioritize ruthless execution. You will balance deep research bets with the immediate need to ship reliable software to our early customers.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a PM who can read a dashboard and a design doc.
Core Qualifications
- →Technical DNA: You are likely an ex-ML Engineer, Data Engineer, or Data Scientist who transitioned into Product Management. You understand how large-scale ML systems are built and fail.
- →Experimentation Rigor: Deep experience with large-scale A/B testing, causal inference, and metric design. You know the difference between a vanity metric and a leading indicator of value.
- →Zero-to-One GTM: Experience taking a technical product from "prototype" to "revenue." You have successfully launched complex data or ML products in the B2B space.
- →Systems Thinking: You can map out complex enterprise workflows and identify exactly where an agent can insert itself to provide 10x value.
- →Communication: You can translate "gradient descent" for a business leader and "customer pain" for a Researcher. You align diverse stakeholders around a singular vision.
Nice to Have
- →Experience building or managing products in the Search, RecSys, or Developer Tools space.
- →Familiarity with the modern LLM stack (Agents, RAG, Tool use).
- →Experience designing pricing models for usage-based or outcome-based software.
- →Technical degree (CS, Math, Statistics) or equivalent deep technical experience.
Why Join Us
- →Founding Equity: Significant ownership in a company tackling the next layer of the AI stack.
- →Define the Category: You aren't just building a product; you are defining the UX and business model for the agentic economy.
- →World-Class Team: Collaborate with a dense talent cluster of researchers and engineers who have shipped products serving hundreds of millions of users.
